Treffpunkt Bayrischzell
For Your Phone and Your TV

Treffpunkt App

The Treffpunkt Bayrischzell app for your phone and your TV: few notifications, but the ones you get actually matter. Plus a digital info board for local hosts around town.

For Your Smartphone and Your TV

Treffpunkt Bayrischzell isn't just a website in your browser. There's an app for your smartphone, and since 2026 there's one for the living room too, right on your TV. At heart they both do the same thing: they show you the content without any detours, and they only reach out when it's genuinely worth it.

The biggest change is this: I now run the apps myself. It used to be outsourced, and every little tweak cost extra. Now I can take care of them on my own, which means the apps are truly alive and will keep growing over time instead of sitting still.

You don't need any of this to follow along, the website works on every device. The apps are for the folks who want to be a little closer to the action.

The Treffpunkt Bayrischzell App

There was an app once before. A few years back I shut it down, because back then the upkeep just wasn't worth what it gave people. Since 2026 it's back, a lot leaner and stripped down to what actually makes sense: the website content without the browser detour, and push notifications for the kind of things that are really worth a look. And because I take care of the app myself now, new features will keep showing up over time.

Rare, But Worth It

In my experience, apps that buzz you around the clock just don't work, people delete them after three days. So here's my honest promise:

What you won't get: a notification for every new blog post, every newsletter, every scraped event. At most two or three push notifications a week, and often fewer.

Bayrischzell on the Big Screen

Since 2026 there's a dedicated app for the Fire TV Stick. It launches on its own as a digital info board: the screen cycles through the latest news, upcoming events, and the mountain weather, all without you having to press a thing.

The nice part at home is that you can pull the images up big on your TV, slideshows of the town, the mountains, the seasons. Plus links to some really worthwhile YouTube videos from the region. All of it right from the remote, no account, no sign-up.

The Digital Info Board for the Lobby, the Lounge, and the Guest Room

The real strength of the TV app isn't in the living room, it's with the hosts around town. On a screen in the lobby, in the guest lounge, or at the front desk, the info board runs on its own: mountain weather, what's happening right now, upcoming events, images from the region. No effort, nothing to operate, and your guests can see at a glance what Bayrischzell has to offer today.

No ongoing upkeep for you. I keep the content current, your screen simply shows it.

And none of this is limited to Bayrischzell. The neighboring town already has its own info board, tailored entirely to Fischbachau: treffpunkt-fischbachau.de . The system is built so that more towns can join in, or individual guesthouses and hotels from all across the Miesbach district, each with its own screen tuned to that particular place.

Plenty of people fill digital screens with content, most of them from somewhere far away, treating it as just another product. What makes the difference here is who's behind it: someone who has been passionate about this region for years and for whom this isn't some off-the-shelf service, but a labor of love. The images, the videos, the tips don't come out of a database, they come from right here.

If you'd like to run the info board where you are, get in touch and we'll take a look together at whether and how it fits for you. Here's the way to reach me.

Then my newsletter „Dranbleiben“ is the right channel for you. It comes out now and then, but with longer stories, and you don't need any app store.
