Around here, wellness doesn't mean an indoor pool or some cookie-cutter spa hotel. It means two private baths up on the mountain that you book all to yourself. No public swimming pool, no day pass. The Dorfbad Tannermühl sits inside a mill from 1700, with two tubs set right in front of an eight-meter (26 ft) waterfall. The Almbad Sillberghaus is perched at 1,100 meters (3,600 ft), a half-hour walk uphill, with a natural bathing pool, a sauna, and beds if you feel like staying the night. I've been to both, and I'll tell you honestly which one is worth it for whom.
Two Special Baths
