When the first snow settles in the valley, plenty gets going here: the first Advent markets, the season start at the Sudelfeld, and a whole series of activity days through the winter. So you do not miss a thing, here are the key dates of the 2026/27 winter season at a glance, kept up to date.
Advent in the valley
The winter kicks off with the two Advent markets, small and cozy in Geitau, bigger and with a program in Bayrischzell.
Winter sports at the Sudelfeld
The Sudelfeld ski area sits right on the doorstep. The Top on Snow ski school runs several activity days across the season, for families, kids, and anyone who wants to hit the slopes. Here are the 2026/27 dates:
Season kickoff from 10 am: gear tests, a look behind the scenes of the mountain lifts, ski instructor guiding, and a DJ at the lower Sudelfeld.
Each at 5:30 pm, with an après-ski party from 4:30 pm at the Schindelbergeralm.
From 10 am, free coaching on the practice lifts with active and former DSV athletes, for kids aged 7 and up, followed by a family contest.
From 10 am, a big terrain game for kids aged 4 to 12, on skis or snowboard, with prizes to win.
The season finale with a free ski test, ski instructor guiding, a kids' race, and hut parties across the area.
