My tip before you head up the Wendelstein or out to the Sudelfeld: check the webcams first. Whether the sun is out up top, whether the summit is in fog and how much snow there is, you see faster there than in any forecast. Here you have the cameras around Bayrischzell in one place, plus today's weather and snow.

The Webcams
The images come straight from the camera operators, so you load them with one click. The two cameras on the Wendelstein show you the view on the mountain, the Walleralm shows the Sudelfeld ski area.
Live webcams from the region. The images are loaded directly from the providers (foto-webcam.eu and Sudelfeld). Your IP address is transmitted to these providers in the process.
Weather for Today and the Next Days
Live data from Open-Meteo for the village at 802 m. At the Wendelstein it is noticeably cooler and windier.
Snow at the Sudelfeld
How many lifts are running and how much snow there is appears here as soon as the ski area publishes its report. Piste map and mountain weather are on the Sudelfeld Today page, linked below.

Good to Know
Where are the webcams?
Two cameras are on the Wendelstein, one called Wendelstein West, one Wendelstein East. The third shows the Walleralm in the Sudelfeld ski area.
Is there a webcam in the village itself?
There is a camera in the village, but its image quality is very dated. For weather and snow the mountain cameras tell you more anyway.
Why do the images only load on click?
The images come from other servers. So that no data is exchanged before you want it, you load them yourself.
