Bayrischzell Festival 2027

From 22 July to 1 August 2027 Bayrischzell celebrates: Gau homeland day with around 5,000 in traditional costume, country festival, classic cars and more.

Bayrischzell is celebrating again in 2027: from 22 July to 1 August there are eleven days of festivities, with the tapping of the first barrel, the Gau homeland day, a country festival, the Goaßmaß festival, a classic car meet and the fire brigade festival. The individual events are run by the local clubs, and all the festivities are planned together by a working group from the village called "Bayrischzell brennt", which published the dates in mid-October 2026.

I have put them together for you here so you can save the dates. As soon as times, venue and the detailed programme are fixed, I will add them.

Gau Homeland Day

Thousands in traditional costume

The Gau homeland day is the big festival of the regional costume association, and in 2027 Bayrischzell is the host. Around 5,000 people in traditional costume are expected. My tip if you want to stay overnight: book a room early, the valley will be full that weekend.
