Haus Schönbrunn is one of the most well established places to stay in Bayrischzell. It has been here since 1993, and for years now it has been the address where, among others, the ZDF production crews stay while filming the series „Frühling". That tells you a lot about the location, the reliability and the setup.
It sits on the quiet edge of the village along Sudelfeldstraße, just a few minutes on foot from the center and from the ski lift. The complex offers vacation apartments in three sizes, its own spa area, underground parking and a friendly team at the front desk. That is a good deal more infrastructure than your typical vacation rental, but you still keep the independence you appreciate when you like to cook and settle in on your own.

The Apartments
Three sizes, the same standard
Haus Schönbrunn offers vacation apartments in three categories. The 1-room apartment for 1 to 2 people is perfect for solo travelers or couples who like things compact, from €50 a day in the off-season. The 2-room apartment comes with a separate bedroom and gives you more room to spread out, from €75. And the 4-room apartment for up to 4 people or more is the right pick for families or small groups, from €135 in the off-season.
Every apartment is fully equipped: a kitchen with a dishwasher, a balcony or terrace, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Bed linens, towels and the final cleaning are all included in the price. You can arrive and depart on any day, and cribs and high chairs are available on request. Pets are welcome when arranged in advance.

More than just a vacation rental
What sets Haus Schönbrunn apart from an ordinary vacation rental is everything built around it. Inside there are two Finnish saunas, one Alpine style and one Mediterranean, plus an infrared cabin, a fitness room, a table tennis room and a playroom for kids. The sauna and fitness room are free for guests, and so is the underground parking.
Outside you will find an open terrace by the creek with lounge chairs and a barbecue spot, along with a lawn to play on, a swing and a sandbox for the little ones. At the front desk you get personal attention and tips for day trips, and on request a free shuttle from the train station. Right in front of the complex stands the Rosary Chapel from 1913, built by the Counts of Schönborn and by now a small local landmark.
Good to know: for stays under 7 nights there is a one-time short-stay surcharge of €60, so anyone who stays a week or longer saves a noticeable amount. Office hours are daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
